The Job

Ink is the world’s leading producer of inflight magazines with over 25 titles in our portfolio. Our media channels reach half a billion passengers per year travelling to hundreds of destinations around the world. Our sales executives sell advertising space in our inflight magazines to businesses who benefit from attracting a large travelling audience. Most of our inflight magazines are published monthly, though some are bi-monthly or quarterly.

You 


You will manage the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a primary emphasis on the generation of new business along with account management of your clients. Successful sales executives need to be aware of changes in the market that impact their target audience. You will be dealing with buyers, directors and key decision makers - negotiating terms of contracts and closing deals with them on a daily basis. In addition you will also be:
  • Sourcing new leads on a daily basis and cold calling potential clients
  • Defining client needs, handling objections and negotiating

About the role:

You will manage a sales team to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a primary emphasis on forecasting, new business generation and account management.

You will need to be aware of any changes in the market that impact on your target audience. In addition, you will need to understand the sales strategies of our clients, prospective clients and their competitors.

 

You will be reporting to Sales Director and your main responsibility will be ensuring profitability and revenue growth for the magazine. 

Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of the title and its advertising content
  • Managing, coaching and developing a team of media sales executives to ensure all targets are met
  • Maximising advertising revenue by carefully planning and executing sales strategy
  • Be the first point of contact for all incoming enquiries

Ink is recruiting for an experienced magazine Editor to work on the newly launched inflight magazine for one of the Middle East’s premium airline carriers. Based out of Ink’s London office, the Editor will be fully responsible for creating a high-end, topical and aspirational monthly magazine in both English and Arabic. Knowledge of Arabic is beneficial, experience with the cultural sensitivities of the region essential.
 
Responsibilities include:

  • Successful account managing and closely liaising with the client on their marketing objectives, including regular trips to the Middle East
  • Creating an original story list and managing the production workflow efficiently
  • Producing the magazine on time and within budget to the full satisfaction of the client with the aim of winning an industry award within the first year of publication
  • Managing the deputy, translators and freelancers autonomously and ensuring there are no mistakes in the magazine
  • Working closely with the art director to create a luxury magazine that stands out

Required skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years editing a high-end consumer title, ideally with a focus on travel
  • Reputation for being well-organised, creative and a perfectionist with a meticulous eye for detail

Ink is recruiting for an Arabic Editor to work on a newly launched inflight magazine for one of the Middle East’s premium airline carriers. Based out of Ink’s London office, the Arabic Editor will assist the Editor in creating a high-end, monthly print magazine by working up original stories ideas for an Arabic audience. As a native speaker of Arabic, the role includes editing the Arabic digest section and IFE and airline pages in Arabic.

Skills required:

  • Minimum of two years editing in Arabic as assistant or deputy of print publication
  • Excellent Arabic writing and editing skills, especially adapting translations regarding cultural references for a local audience
  • Ability to work under pressure and to a tight deadline and manage translators work flow according to the production cycle

Wings and Wizz, bi-monthly in-flight magazines, are seeking an experienced Art Director work across both titles. This role needs someone who can embrace the challenge of working across two very different brands.
 
At INK we aim to produce award winning travel magazines with a difference, so it’s vital that the candidate be a creative self-starter, confident in running projects from the ground up. They must be organised; confident working as part of a small team; and ready to bring fresh ideas to both magazines.
 
 
The role
- Lead the creative vision of the magazines; organise photo shoots; commission artwork.
- Work with the Editors in the planning and production of the titles.
- Liaise with the client.
- Think creatively to deliver intriguing design solutions.
- Adhere to the deadlines and budgets set for the titles.
- Ensure that the work is of the highest standard.

Desired skills
- At least seven years’ experience designing/art directing magazines.

Credit & Compliance Officer

1.    Credit Control
To collect the Company’s debtors in accordance with credit terms, including prepayments.
2.    Compliance
To ensure advertising sales contracts are completed in accordance with policy. To make certain clients, particularly new, have backgrounds checked and financially viable.

Responsibilities

  1. Credit Control
  • Collect advertising debtors, by telephone, email, fax, letter, client visits where appropriate.
  • Objectives to reduce debtors to increase company cash flow and minimize  bad debt
  • Problem solving to facilitate the collection process of prepayments & debtors
  • Implement and improve credit control procedures
  • Confirm  debtor letters, statements, & telephone calls are made in accordance with company policy
  • Taking proactive and creative  steps to collect problem debtors
  • Use of 3rd Party collectors when appropriate
  • Issuing legal proceedings in conjunction with the Group Credit Director
  • Compliance
    • Credit check and assess all new advertising customers

TAD enables our clients to choose exactly which passengers they want to reach with their adverts by using our targeted advertising solutions on print-at-home boarding passes, smart phone boarding passes, web pages and confirmation emails. Advertising is automatically chosen and delivered according to parameters such as destination, origination, gender, class flown and passenger nationality.

As TAD Global Sales Account Manager you will be selling targeted advertising solutions (boarding passes, web pages and confirmation emails) to businesses who benefit from attracting a travelling audience. You will manage the entire sales process - from lead sourcing to closing the sale - to ensure delivery against key performance metrics. You will also take responsibility and ownership of any new business brought on board. All our TAD Global Sales Account Managers need to be aware of any changes in the market that affect their target audience. They also need to understand what the competition is doing, both ours and our clients'. American Airlines, the world’s largest airline has a new exciting opportunity for a talented designer, working on American Way, Celebrated Living and Nexos, run out of Ink’s Miami office. These magazines have an incredible reach; being read by up to 16 million passengers a month.
