The Job

TAD enables our clients to choose exactly which passengers they want to reach with their adverts by using our targeted advertising solutions on print-at-home boarding passes, smart phone boarding passes, web pages and confirmation emails. Advertising is automatically chosen and delivered according to parameters such as destination, origination, gender, class flown and passenger nationality.

You

As TAD Global Sales Account Manager you will be selling targeted advertising solutions (boarding passes, web pages and confirmation emails) to businesses who benefit from attracting a travelling audience. You will manage the entire sales process - from lead sourcing to closing the sale - to ensure delivery against key performance metrics. You will also take responsibility and ownership of any new business brought on board. All our TAD Global Sales Account Managers need to be aware of any changes in the market that affect their target audience. They also need to understand what the competition is doing, both ours and our clients'. You will be dealing with an array of clients: buyers, directors, key decision makers and you will be negotiating contracts and closing the deals on the daily basis. Your duties:

The Job

Ink is the world’s leading producer of inflight magazines with over 25 titles in our portfolio. Our media channels reach half a billion passengers per year travelling to hundreds of destinations around the world. Our sales executives sell advertising space in our inflight magazines to businesses who benefit from attracting a large travelling audience. Most of our inflight magazines are published monthly, though some are bi-monthly or quarterly.

You 


You will manage the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a primary emphasis on the generation of new business along with account management of your clients. Successful sales executives need to be aware of changes in the market that impact their target audience. You will be dealing with buyers, directors and key decision makers - negotiating terms of contracts and closing deals with them on a daily basis. In addition you will also be:

  • Sourcing new leads on a daily basis and cold calling potential clients

The Role

To assist the business as a junior / middleweight designer, producing magazine advertorials and creative advertising solutions for a portfolio of magazine titles. Reporting directly to the Creative Solutions Manager, the role also encompasses other creative and design duties within the department.

Competencies

Adobe Creative Suite understanding is essential, as well as excellent time management

Excellent telephone manner and the ability to multi-task

Junior-Middleweight design background is a bonus

Responsibilities

Advertorials

Design advertorials to magazine house style.
Liaise with Repro and production teams to obtain monthly print schedules and communicating schedules with the creative solutions team.

Liaise with sales teams and check salesforce to list all planned advertorials for each magazine for the month.

Liaise with sales to obtain advertorial and booking confirmation forms.

Contact confirmed advertorial clients with advertorial specifications, advising on image formats, word count, and house style and requesting material from clients.
Email advertorials to clients for feedback/approval and taking in client design changes, passing text changes to the editor.
Obtain and archive client advertorial approvals.
Pass all confirmed advertorials through editorial for final editorial sign off.
Package approved InDesign files for repro and production.
Check design of final printed proof.  

Commercial Concepts

Liaise with sales and commercial teams and obtain briefs for creative concepts to be pitched to potential advertisers for display ad campaigns, high impact units and advertorials for a variety of media channels.

Research brands and brainstorm creative concepts with the team.

Art-work concepts and produce print and email-able mock-ups of creative concepts for new advertisers.

Assist other members of the team on developing creative mock-ups and offer feedback.

Assist sales teams & produce advertorial mock-ups to be pitched to advertisers.

Job Description:
The editorial internship allows individuals to participate in all areas of magazine production, with an emphasis on transcription, fact checking and proofreading. Though the position emphasizes editorial work, there may be opportunities for light writing and research as well. Duties specifically include:

  • Transcribing and fact checking content
  • Writing and fact checking ad listings
  • Light administrative tasks
  • Copy editing and proofreading magazine

American Airlines, the world’s largest airline has a new exciting opportunity for a talented junior designer, supporting the art department across three titles: American Way, Celebrated Living, and Nexos. These magazines have an incredible reach; being read by up to 16 million passengers a month. Will also assist the Art Director of Nexos in executing Ads for the Creative Solutions department.

At Ink we aim to produce magazines with a difference, so it’s vital that the candidate is a creative self-starter, confident in working on projects from the ground up. They must be organized and happy to work as part of a small team.

They also have a structured responsibility to sell on a day to day basis against agreed targets, and manage a number of key accounts. Driving and motivating the team to produce excellent sales results.

  • Selling magazine advertising against agreed targets, and managing a number of key clients within the magazines.
