We create Amtrak’s bi-monthly magazine, The National, distributed to the 31.7 million riders on board its trains annually. Advertising opportunities are available in the magazine as well as on the website, which is promoted on board and available worldwide.

The National

The National quite literally embodies Amtrak’s motto: “See where the train can take you”. Celebrating the romance of cross-country travel, the magazine shows its 5 million readers the real breadth of America, from the people transforming our cities to the companies revitalising American manufacturing, plus the subcultures you don’t see in the news. There are personal stories and poems, and photo essays and artwork, all making a compelling case for exploring America by train.

Ink launched a new responsive website housing the content for The National magazine in August 2016 and worked with Amtrak's in-house teams to upload that content directly onto every train, ensuring a seamless and quick download time not dependent on outside connection speeds.

Every edition is supported with a newsletter to customers and a raft of social media outreach.
