reveals that in every region and carrier type no respondents had planned to buy sunglasses, but a consistent 8% across the board stated they had bought them either at the airport or inflight. These seemingly essential items would appear to be a spontaneous purchase either at the airport, inflight or even at the destination. Inflight magazines & duty-free brochures provide an important showcase for sunglasses advertisers to reach these last-minute consumers with prompts for spontaneous or forgotten purchases.
